CARLOS JULIO QUILICI

Tango bandoneonist, arranger and composer.

Teacher of bandoneon at the School of Music of the National University of Rosario (Argentina) and private.

Develops work-shops about “Technical elements of tango” and “Tango interpretation” (for musicians and music students).

Makes talks about “Evolution of the tango orchestra”, illustrated with recordings on CD, video or DVD and bandoneon solos occasionally (for general public).

Dances tango salon and makes work-shops for beginners.

Works tuning and repairing bandoneons

Studied, among others, with Marcelo Bomprezzi, Omar Torres, Domingo Federico, Rodolfo “Cholo” Montironi, Rodolfo Mederos, Lucho Gonzalez and Juan Carlos Cirigliano.

Graduated in the School of Music of the National University of Rosario (Argentina). Title: Instrument technician – Speciality: bandoneon. 

Plays usually:                                                                                                             - as soloist
- duo with Javier Fioramonti (guitar)                                                                             - - duo with Martín Tessa (guitar)                                                                        
- quintet, as  bandoneon player, director and arranger of “Los Tauras”.

Played, among others, with the singers Noelia Moncada, Ricardo Paradiso, Leonel Capitano, Mariel Martínez, Jimena Sánchez, Eduardo Vila, Omar Fernández, Guillermo Rozenthuller, Juan Iriarte  

Played in “Camandulaje” quintet, the “Youth Tango Orchestra of the National University of Rosario” directed by the master Domingo Federico and the “World Orchestra of Tango” directed by Rodolfo Mederos,  with the trios "Tango platense” with Daniel Turano and Roberto Amerise and “Metatango” with Hernán Lugano and Jorge Sarraute, and ocasional duets with Enrique Gule, Pablo Covacevich, Juanjo Passo, Hernán Lugano, Octavio Brunetti , José "Pepe" Ferrer y Oscar Acebras, among others groups.

Embarked on tours in Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, England, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Iceland, USA and Mexico.

Recorded CDs with “Los Tauras”, the “Youth Tango Orchestra of the National University of Rosario” directed by the master Domingo Federico, Noelia Moncada & Pablo Covacevich, Emilio Lenski, “Camandulaje” quintet, "Los Ranas", and as a guest musician in many oportunities.
